A CHS Bronze tablet set vertically in the walkway along the Canso Canal. The Tablet is 8.1m north of northerly lock gates, 4.6m from the canal sidewall and 0.2m from a light standard. Datum elevation in 1994 was 4.083 m. Visual inspection of benchmark suggests it appears to be sinking relative to surrounding concrete. This benchmark was updated in 2019 to reflect the new elevation value after completing a GPS occupation using 94N9002 as the reference benchmark. Atlantic datum values are provided in stn. 567.
