A cross cut in bedrock and marked +BM located on Ice Cutter Point on the south shore of the mainland at the western entrance to the Narrows of Chesterfield Inlet. Six Eskimo beacons mark the point of land. The BM is approximately 9 m from the shore and 358 metres on a bearing of north 4 degrees east from Hydrographic Service bronze tablet No. 1200 at the extreme easterly end of Baker Lake. Inscription is warn and difficult to see, new CHS benchmark M16V9421 installed beside it in 2016. |
