A CHS bronze tablet stamped BM 1-1960 cemented vertically in the top of a large conspicuous boulder loc. near Gauge Pt a low gravel pt projecting westward and directly E of Caswell Tower. From the tip of Gauge Pt follow the crescent gravel beach in a NE direction for 567 metres and then go inland to this boulder, 23 metres east of the high water line. The crescent beach extends for another 189 metres north where it ends at a small rocky point. Benchmark position has been approximated from a georeferenced field sheet (3012). |
