A Geodetic Survey of Canada bronze tablet with forced centering hole, mounted on top of a 25 centimetre diameter wooden pole which is drilled vertically into the ground at Cache Point in Tuktoyaktuk. The wooden pole is installed approximately 6 metres into the ground and extends 1 metre above the surface. The pole is located 3 metres east of the Tide Gauge building which is 10 metres east of the road leading to the DEW Line Station. The benchmark is located 1.5 metres west of a second wooden pole protruding 2 metres above ground, supporting a GPS antenna.

NOTE: When levelling from this BM first remove the GPS antenna plug, after finishing replace the plug.
